Mildred Brown was a lifelong resident of Tampa, FL. She was educated in Hillsborough County schools and graduated from C. Leon King High School, Class of 1969. Mildred received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior early in life and was a member of Revealing Truth Ministries. Demonstrating a heart of love and compassion, she touched numerous lives by sheltering and caring for countless family members and friends — she called it a “life of blessings and joy.” Mildred also enjoyed caring for her pet child, Lacy, as well as sewing, painting, and diverse arts and crafts.
She was employed for many years as a Driver in the trucking transportation industry, driving locally and throughout the United States. Additionally, she worked in the Management Sector of the trucking transportation industry, from where she retired.
A loved one wrote about Mildred saying, “My auntie/mother was one of the many women in my life to guide me to being the man that I am today. She taught me about life, and she always had my back. My heart hurts because she won’t be here physically anymore, but I know she will always be with me, forever living in my mind, heart, and soul.” Another loved one wrote, “Auntie, Milly Millz, was there for me for graduation, prom dress, darkest hours, and helping me learn life again. She always kept it real. She gave me the recipe and I know she's watching over me every step of the way.” And yet, another one noted, “She was the SHE to my “shenanigans.” She was one of my biggest fans, kept me in line, and loved me. She was the best friend a girl like me could ever ask for. She was my diary, personal bodyguard, my heart in human form. I’ll cherish her memories forever. I will forever appreciate Millz.”
