Ms. Myrtle Everett-Hamilton of Tampa, FL passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 2002 N. Rome Avenue, Tampa, FL 33607 with Rev. CT Kirkland, Officiant/Eulogist. Interment will follow in Mayberry Cemetery, 10906 Bessie Dix Rd. Seffner, FL 33592.
Myrtle Everett-Hamilton was a native of Florida and a resident of Tampa for 80 years. She attended Hillsborough County Public Schools. She was born the 3rd of 13 children to the late Amos and Gladys Everett Sr. She was employed as a Head Cook for Hawthorne Retirement Center.
She was preceded in death by: her brothers, Amos Everett, Edgar Everett, Clarence Everett, Carl Everett, and Luther Everett; sisters, Florence Everett, and Leona Preston; and grand-daughter, Christina Thomas.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Jacqueline Hobley (Aaron), James Everett, Teresa Hamilton, Carlos Hamilton, and Tosha Hamilton, all of Tampa, FL; brothers, Earl Everett, and Ernest Everett; sisters, Gladys Everett, Carolyn Harrison (Chester), and Ella Everett, all of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Patrick Everett, Latirica Walters (Nathan), Cassandra Greene (Derek), Candiace Everett, Tekala Everett, Cleorissa Everett, Jamie Everett, Cherron Hobley, James Everett Jr., Carlos Sesler, Carlisle Hamilton, Jossalynne Perez, Johnny Thomas (Johnna), Antionette Thomas, Santalee Hamilton, Natalie Hamilton, Desiree Hamilton, Kenneth Causey, and Cali Hamilton; 37 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and a host of family and friends.
The visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
