Miss Shakyla Jenia Bailey of Tampa, FL passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, 4025 W. Palmetto Street, Tampa, FL 33607 with Reverend Anthony Greene, Officiant and Elder Darnell Peeler, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
Miss Shakyla Jenia Bailey was a Tampa native. Her educational background included Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School, Hillsborough Community College, and the University of South Florida, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, where she served in the Choir.
She was preceded in death by: her great-grandparents, Albert and Mildred Bailey Sr., Carolyn Delores Coleman, and Edward Trice; and grandfather, Willie Cox III.
She leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Jennifer Baker; father, Keith (Raishara) Bailey; brother, Sevion Daniels; sisters, Kori Bailey and Kenzli Bailey; grandparents, Cheryl Baker, Dr. Lenny (Michelle) Washington, and Mildred (Carlton) Henderson; great grandmother, Theresa Washington; aunts, Jill (Michael) Wells, Brooke (Brian) Sapp, Tiffany Washington, Adrian (Aundre) Ghee, Latorya (Marion) Mobley, and Shakisha Bailey-Lawson; uncles, Jihad (Keshawna) Cunningham, Noah Brown, Jamal Cox, Shakhil Cox, and Rashaun (Jessica) Grant; cousins, JayLynn, Jakobe, Justice, Jynesis, Malcolm, Savannah, Eboni, Ronshay, Aundria, David, Diamyn, Ashanti, Jewelz, Aundre Jr., Aria, Keyeven, Marion Jr., Keyurria, Tyreece, Khyia, Jamiya, Jamaal Jr., Noah Jr., and Niya; and a host of other cousins; great aunts and uncles, Octeon (Theodore), Adrian (Ptosha), Darryl (Paula), Terri (John), Lenise (Darnell), Denise, Gerald (Misty), Corey, Tia (Michael), Bridgette (George), Latesha (Tharas), Derrick (Rashauna), Alisa (Tony), Terilyn, Charlene, Charlotte, Johnny, and Reginald; Godparents, Gregory (Socanda) Thomas and Kevin (Olivia) Young; devoted friends, Bradley, Lopez and Grayson families and a host of other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday December 5, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
