Ms. Tonya Graham

Ms. Tonya Yvonne Graham of Tampa, FL, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 2606 W. Grace Street, Tampa, FL 33607 with Pastor Keaton J. Brown, Officiant/Eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Ms. Tonya Yvonne Graham was a native and life-long resident of Tampa, FL. She graduated from H.B. Plant High School and was member of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed by Macy’s for 38 years; most recently employed with Hillsborough County Schools (Blake High School) as a Nutrition Specialist.

Ms. Graham was a devoted grandmother and staunch Buccaneer fan. During her tenure as a Nutrition Specialist at Blake High School she was affectionately known as “Auntie” or “Granny” for her caring, yet firm demeanor. She was a go to cook for family outings, known for her mac and cheese, sweet potato pies, dressing and candied yams.

She was preceded in death by: her mother, Mildred Graham; sisters, Sonya Harper and Gwendolyn Jones; brothers, Benny, Rudolph and Corrise Graham, Jr.; aunts, Marie Hobley, Helen Stanback, Willie Mae Elijah and Almeta Albury; uncles, Iray Hobley, Horace Barnes, Willie Barnes, and Timothy Williams; nephew, Richard Morgan; niece, Nicole Robinson; and brother-in-law, Josephus McNear.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, April, Antania (Tru), and David Carlton, Jr.; grandchildren, Rylen and Raniyah Williams, Treasure Calhoun, Jordan, Daizhia, Jaylen, Kayden, Ja’Ceion, Dalani, Kyng, Kyrie, Keyanna, Amari, Mekhi, Dalen, Dayla, Jada, Zaniya, Kennedy and Noah Carlton; brother, Derrick Graham (Desirea); sisters, Gloria Flournoy (Billy) and Almeta McNear; nieces, Vivian Lim-tom, Cheryl Tillman, Darmecia Cox (Calvin), Tashia Motta, Shawn Graham, Teresa Lundy (Rickey), Vantala Graham Jackson (Rodney), and Jocelyn Atkinson (Curtis); nephews, Cedric Graham, Kenneth Tillman (Latisha), Corrise Graham, III, Derick Kearney, Jamarcus Graham, Robert Martin, Antonio Graham, and Joshua Walker; and a host of other relatives: Barnes, Carlton, Carswell, Lim-tom, Tillman, Jackson, Willis, Mitchell, Cox, Orr, Mask, Gaskins, Graham, Williams, Washington, Dixon, Stanback, Frazier, Buie, Battle, Wingfield, Lowman, Flowers and the Collins families.
