Ms. Tylesha Carell Powell

Ms. Tylesha Carell Powell transitioned on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Tampa General Hospital after a brief illness.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.  The interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery located at 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.

Tylesha Carell Powell was born January 1, 1979, in Tampa, Florida. Tylesha is the daughter of Matthew Darryl Hepburn and Carolyn Yvonne Hepburn, and Tyrone Mac Powell. She is the granddaughter of the Late Mary Ella Darby and the Late Howard and Leora Lester Hepburn.  At an early age, she received the Lord and was baptized at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. Dr. C. T. Kirkland.  She was educated in the local schools of Hillsborough County, where she attended Thomas Jefferson High School.  Tylesha's employer before her illness was with FIREHOUSE SUBS in Town-n-Country.

She was preceded in death by: aunts, Katherine Beatrice Hepburn and Delores D. Hazard; uncles, Horace Williams and Mark Christopher Hepburn; and cousin, Carl Davis Jr.

Tylesha Powell leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and devoted son, Jaleel Ezekiel Powell; brothers, Matthew Darryl Hepburn, Jr., and Emmanuel Amon Hepburn; aunts, Minnie Langston, Emma Ellington, Joyce Davis, Dr. Carolyn Hepburn Collins, Debra Taylor-Bailey, Antionette Carpenter, Cynthia Thomas, Janet Jackson, and Elaine Darby; uncles, Homer Jerome Darby, Norris H. Collins, James Williams, Malcolm A. Hepburn; niece, Spirit Sams; cousins, Carla Ashley, Darliscia Lenee Hazard, Anetria Ashley, Norris (Esperanza), Dr. Corey (Dr. Gwenesia) Collins, Brianna Darby, Katherine Hepburn, Michelle Walker, Tamara Jefferson, Jermaine (Amber) Taylor, Marcus Davis, Autrie Young, Malcolm Hepburn Jr., Tammy Williams, Michael, and Victor Darby, Johnny (Angela) Ashley, Aaron Ashley, Michael Hazard (spouse), and Joshua; and a host of close relatives, cousins, and friends, including Bells, Hepburns, Williams, Cails, and others.

Visitation will be held at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM
