Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Pastor Prentiss Davis, Officiating/Eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
Ms. Valarie Walker was a native of Tampa, Florida, and was born to the late Viola and Clifford Walker. Viola and Clifford reared Mrs. Walker and she later built relationships with her biological father, Mango Anderson, and her extended Anderson family. Valarie received her High School Diploma and went to Technical School where she received a Clerical Certificate. Valarie worked as a seamstress for McNatt Cleaners and as a secretary for several other small businesses in the Tampa Bay Area.
Valarie was a Christian woman and attended several churches. She became an ordained minister at A Deeper Life Christian Church. One of her favorite scriptures was 2 Chronicles 7:14 which says, “if my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Valarie loved spending time with all of her grandchildren, she enjoyed spending time in nature feeding ducks, fishing, and the beach. She loved fashion and dressing up for any occasion.
Per God’s will, she went home to be with her: mother, Viola E. Walker; fathers, Clifford Walker, and Mango Anderson; beloved partner, Jerry Lowman Sr. and Ceotha Booth; sisters, Bertha Lee Walker-Switzler, Vira Cogdell, Latricia Michelle Walker, and Patricia Walker; brother, Anthony Walker; aunts, Leola Collins and Inez Lumpkins; and uncle, Jr Cato.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and devoted children, Jerry Lowman Jr., Camilla Lowman, Andrea Hill, and Tanda Lowman; grandchildren, Tanaisia, Israel, Isabell, Isaac, Isaiah, Zoë, and Russell; brother, Willie Walker; special friend, Peter; nieces and nephews, John Cogdell Jr, Lekeshua Wynn, Duran Walker, Johnique Cogdell, Durshawnda Walker, Deshawntae Walker and Emonte Bentley; great nieces and nephews, Karla, Matthew, and Kash; cousins, Shannon Collins and Family, Johni Watts and Family, Willie Watts, Little Watts, Donald McNabb, Silvia Lumpkins and Family, Theresa Welch and family, Vinnie and family, Rosalind and Pamela Mcduffie; Kiki and family, Sam Jr. and family, Alberta and Sylvester Watts and family, and Alvin and Mary Bunch and family; and a host of loving and sorrowing extended family and friends.
