Ms. Veltria M Williams

Veltria Marie Williams of Tampa, Fl passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 28, 2023, 12:00 P.M. at Grace Mary Missionary Baptist Church, 39001 N. 37th Street, Tampa FL 33610 with Pastor James R. Reed Jr., Officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. MASK RECOMMENDED.

Veltria was born in Ellenton, FL on April 8, 1949, to the union of Stanley and Evelyn Williams. Vel was the first of seven siblings. She attended Hillsborough County Schools and graduated from Howard W. Blake High School, Class of 1968, where she was on their first Dancerette Team.

She joined and was baptized at Grace Mary Missionary Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Booker T. Williams at a young age. Vel attended Brewster Technical College for Phlebotomy. She also attended Tampa Bay Vocational Technical Center for CNA and Home Healthcare. She was employed at Tampa General Hospital until her retirement. Vel enjoyed cruising, watching tv, listening to music, dancing, and going out to eat. She loved her children, grands, and great grandchildren.

Vel was preceded in death by: her children’s Father, St. Clair; Parents, Stanley and Evelyn (Margarette); Sister, Carolyn; and Brothers, Stanley Jr., John, and Reginald.

Vel leaves to cherish her precious memories: her daughters, Nevela, and Sherrene; 10 Grands, Romekia, Nequesha, Syriah, Daniellie, Sherreana, Eliah, Roneshia, Calvin, Randy, and Anthony; 19 Great Grands; Sisters, Altansey, Sandra, Myeisha, Megan, Shardae, Shecopi, Shevonne, and Sharonda; Brothers, Jermaine, Issac, and Jacob; Great Aunt, Marie Beard; Aunts, Gloria (William), Gwendolyn, and Ruth; Uncles, Reginald (Janice), Charles, and  Glenn (Marva); and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.

The visitation will be held on Friday January 27, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue Tampa, Fl 33606. MASK RECOMMENDED.
