Mykeria Jacobs Obituary

Mykeria Shanice Jacobs of Tampa passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Pastor Donald Lott, officiating.  Please follow the CDC guidelines. 

Mykeria was a native of Tampa, Florida born to Lainere Williams and Michael Jacobs.  She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County where she attended Booker T. Washington Elementary, Adams Middle School and Middleton High School. She would have been in the 11th grade this fall 2020. 

Mykeria was an active member of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority Youth Auxiliary where she held the Secretary position of the Phi Teens.  She had attended the 2018 National Conference in Detroit, Michigan and won 2nd place along with member (Anttiniya White) during their talent competition.   Mykeria was an active member of the ROTC program and had plans to join the Airforce. Mykeria’s past time was dancing and cosmetology.  

 

Mykeria leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Lainere Williams; father, Michael Jacobs; 2 brothers, Michael Jacobs and Derrick Gaskin; 3 sisters, Janiyia Murray, Olivia Duassain, and My’Aizah Jacobs; 4 grandmothers, Darlene Amos, Elouise Brooks, Stacie Jacobs and Bertha Williams; 2 grandfathers, Freddie Jacobs and Johnnie Williams; 6 aunties, Latasha Amos, Valerie Jacobs, Constance Walker (Clarence), Veronica Washington, Nisha Cummings-Cheeseborough and Fredricka Jacobs; 6 uncles, Michael Branch, Virgil Branch (Naomi), Fredrick Jacobs (Kalahei), Adam Brooks, Willie Brooks, and Tavares Jacobs; 2great uncles, Alvin Mcleod (Monica), and Jeffrey Amos (Yolanda); a host of cousins, Nicole Mcleod, Tercel Colston, Kayvion Branch, Kaiden Jacobs, Fredrick Jacobs, Peyton Jacobs, Karla Jacobs, Fazion Jacobs, Clarence Walker, Christian B. Walker, Zamiaya Amos, Amari Williams, Tyrik Malloy, Drew Gibson, Jermaine Gibson, Zion Seymore, Thomas Seymore, Montez Seymore, Jamarius Jacobs, Aalayah Seymore, Adam Brooks, Tavares Jacobs, Tavon Jacobs, Travon Jacobs, Ly’land Wilds, Neshia Jacobs, Jeffrey W. Amos, and Courtney Amos Stubbins (Brett);  great aunts, great uncles, great great aunties, other relatives, friends and her best friend, D’Shuntay Wilson.  

The remains will repose from 3-7pm, Friday, June 19, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines.
