Mr. O’Neil Roleto Powell of Tampa, Florida passed away Friday, February 7, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 22 at 11 a.m. at Temple Terrace Community Church, 210 Inverness Avenue with Apostle Michelle Kelly, officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Mr. O’Neil Roleto Powell was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Howard W. Blake High School Class of 2001. Mr. Powell enjoyed a career as a Chef/Line-cook where he worked in various restaurants, such as the Cheesecake Factory, Longhorn Steakhouse restaurants and a local hospital.
He was preceded in death by: his uncle, Glenville Cookson; and dear cousin, Teresa Cookson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: son, O’Neil Powell, Jr.; parents, Calbert and Dowager Clarke Powell; grandmothers, Olive Poston and Viouda Cookson; brother, Ricardo Powell and Desmond Dennis; aunts, Jennifer Cookson, Shirley Powell and Faye Powell; uncles, Andrew Cookson and wife Brenda, Alphonso Edwards, Charlie Miller and Denton Tracye; a host of cousins, O’Neil, Patrick, Hopie, Colleen, Shawn, Michelle, Marjorie (Bob), Karen, Charmaine (Larry), Andrea, Steven, Shanice, Denzel, Linda, Alexander, Tonia, Kerry, Charmaine (Dezzy), Diana (Mickey), Tina, Ryan, Owen, Al, Dave, Donavan, Trevor, Dorian, Lacey, Ramon, Micheal Sr., DJ, Daja, Micheal Jr., Donna, Nettie, Shelly, Brenton, Richard, Margarita, Tanisha, and Tacheka; and friends, Myron, O’Neil P., Tomiki, Roxton and Jimmy J; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p.m. Friday, February 21 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
