Mrs. Oralene T. Alexander of Tampa, FL passed away Monday, April 11th, 2022. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, April 23rd, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Julius Wynn, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Alexander was a native of Alabama and a resident of Tampa, Florida for over 50 years. She attended public schools in Alabama and was a member of Highland Missionary Baptist Church in Tampa, FL. She was employed as a professional housekeeper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Alexander; her sons, Robert Jackson, and Anthony Jackson; her daughter, Brenda Jackson; parents, J.B., and Lessie Thurman; along with 5 sisters and 1 brother.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her brothers, Horace Thurman of Detroit, MI, Willie Thurman of Tampa, FL., and James Thurman (Thelma) of Tampa, FL; goddaughter, Almeta Mcnear (Joe); godson, Grady Snell Jr., and wife; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special friends, Ms. Brenda, Ms. Vergil Frazier, Ms. Cynthia Dixon (John), and Ms. Gloria Thorton.
Mrs. Alexander was a very lively woman who enjoyed many activities such as fishing, dancing, telling jokes and spending quality time with friends and family. Her favorite saying was “My name is TUFF and I live on tough street. The further down the block you go, the tougher they get, and I stay in the last house on the left”.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Highland Missionary Baptist Church 3410 E North St, Tampa, FL 33610. MASK RECOMMENDED.
