Pastor Beryl King Walker of Tampa passed away Friday, October 13, 2023. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, 12:00 p.m. at Love First Christian Center, 12847 Balm Riverview Road, Riverview FL 33579 with Apostle ONeil Salmon, Officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, 4202 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
Pastor Beryl King Walker was a native and a lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida, who dedicated her life to the work of the Lord. As a member of The City of Restoration, she served on the board as well as creating and hosting Senior Power Hour, a virtual ministry group. She lived by II Timothy 2:15 and loved ministering the word of God. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County, attending Middleton High School, and graduating from Leto High School. Pastor Beryl King Walker retired from GTE after more than 30 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her: mother, Lureather Borum; father, Joe S. King; stepfather, Alonzo Borum; grandmothers, Marie Campbell and Cuba King; grandfathers, Andrew Campbell and Sanford King; sisters, Janice Blanding and Bernice Alford; and brothers, David Lee Butler and Bernard Alton King.
She leaves to cherish her memories: children, Anichia Allen, Brandon, FL and Byron Allen, Brandon, FL; granddaughter, Laila Allen, Brandon, FL; siblings, Larette King, Lake City, FL, Jolene (Fredrick) Blocton, Eden Prairie, MN, Derrick (Patricia) Borum, Dade City, FL, Voncenia King, Tampa, FL, Tonya (Sylvester) McClendon, Tampa, FL, and Melvonia Johns, Gibsonton, FL; godchildren, Anddrikk (Rena) Frazier, Brandon, FL, Sharvettye (Marquel) Blackwell, College Station, TX, and Alleo (Dr. Tiffany) Frazier, Huntersville, NC; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
The visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33606.
