Mr. Pelham J. P. Golden, Sr. of Tampa passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church, 1225 N. Nebraska Avenue with Dr. B. R. Fulton, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Please follow the CDC guidelines.
Mr. Pelham J. P. Golden was a native of Greenville, South Carolina, and a resident of Tampa for 67 years. He was employed by the Longshoreman International Association, #1402 as a Head Master and retired after over 57 years of dedicated service.
He was preceded in death by: two brothers and three sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memory: devoted wife of 47 years, Willene Barton Golden; children, Eddie Barton (Eirleen), Sharon Golden, Felicia Callwood, Pelham Golden, Jr. (Marjorie), and Jermaine Golden; grandchildren, Clyde Callwood, April Lewis, Pelham Golden, III, Janya Golden, Yolanda Powell, Dallas Golden, Lylah Golden, and Jermaine “Fathead” Jr.; sisters, Grace Stewart and Hattie Gamble, both of Greenville, SC and Mary Jean Parham (Douglas) of New York, NY; brothers, Elbert Golden (Rev. Mae Frances) and George Golden (Celestine), both of Greenville, SC; a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, Terri & Ron Brewer, Melissa & George Henderson, Marilyn and Richard Solomon, Vilda Barton, Anita Barton, Darrell Barton, Manual Barton, Larry Barton and Alvin Barton; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The remains will repose from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 26 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines.
