Pinkey Mae Billingsley Obituary

Ms. Pinkey Mae Billingsley of Tampa passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 22, at 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Reverend Dr. C. T. Kirkland, officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.  Masks are required. 

Ms. Pinkey Mae Billingsley was a native of Madison, Florida and a resident of Tampa for over 70 years.  She was educated in the public schools of Madison County and was a member of Nebo Baptist Church, Madison, FL.  Ms. Billingsley was a devoted housewife and took pride in caring for her family. 

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Arthur Billingsley, Sr.; parents, Russell Mitchell and Alice Mayhue; brothers, Russell Mitchell Sr., Nathaniel Mitchell Sr., and Henry Mitchell; sisters, May Lizzie Gary, Lilla Austin, and Charlie Mae Dorsey; daughters, Jeannette Williams Brown, Mary A. Williams and Louise Westbrooks and  host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Johnnie Bell Billingsley; sons, Arthur Billingsley, Jr. and John Lee Billingsley Sr., (Luciana); grandchildren, Kawana Brown (Gregory), George Green Jr. (Sandra), Laytosha Green, Sonyette Alford, grandniece, Pauline Price, Nekeisha Williams, Timothy Green, Maurice Mitchell, Pinkey Hayes, Artaybius Billingsley, Angela Garrett (James), Jalecia Billingsley Casimir (Ricardo), John Billingsley, Jr. Shanard Reed and Shaquita Reed; sisters, Inez Archie and Minnie Lou Hall, both of Tampa, FL; great grandchildren, Marshenna Green Thomas (Jerome), Richelle Edwards, Zalayvia Harley (Michael), Shacora White, Jamal Alford, George Green II, Bobbie Richardson, Aniya Green, Laneisha Green, Emiyah Green, Ja’Niyah Hayes, Ja’Varri Hayes, JCarter Hayes, Demetrius Billingsley, Ariyhanna Billingsley, Arlea Billingsley, Charles Gunn III, Chauncey Gunn, Chandler Green, Miia Harley, Maurice Mitchell, Jr., and Tashi Michell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and neighbors.  Friends, Mrs. Lillian Livingston, James Burt and Mrs. Ethel Pearson. Caregivers, her daughter, Johnnie Bell Billingsley and LifePath Hospice Indigo Team.  Special thanks to John Billingsley, Minnie Hall, Ann Alford, Angela Garrett, Richelle Edwards and Mrs. Lillian Livingston. 

The remains will repose from 4 – 7 p.m. Friday, May 21 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. Masks are required.
