Prince Green Obituary

A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Prince Louis Green of Tampa, FL who passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021, will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, with Minister John Douglas, officiating. (MASKS ARE REQUIRED).

Mr. Green was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa. He was born to Lewis Reams and Easter Genlack-Cowans. He was educated in the public schools of Madison County, FL. He was employed as a Sanitation Worker with the City of Tampa.

In addition to being a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Prince enjoyed playing his guitar, listening to music, watching his westerns and “In the Heat of the Night” television shows.

Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Reams and Easter Genlack-Cowans; son, Gregory Davis, Sr.; grandson, Gregory Davis, Jr.; siblings, Roy Reams, Robert Blackshear, James Wesley Reams, and Frednell Moore.

He leaves to cherish fond memories,  his loving and devoted wife of many years, Artrye Green; children, Kenneth Green, Deirdre Green, Dexter Green, Frederic Green (Mable), Cedric Green (Barbara), and Timothy Green; daughter-in-law, Glenda Davis; sisters, Mary Bryant and Lillian Hoye; brothers, Luther Cowans (Darlene), Willie Reams (Sandra), Jimmie Reams (Pat), Herbert Reams, and Louis Reams (Ruth); grandchildren, Darryl Green (Nigisti) of Snellville, GA, Gelisa Stafford (Jonovan), and Gia Davis, Lakeisha Ketter, LaDedra Green, Jasmine Green, Elaina Green, Neonecia Brookins, Alexsia Davis; great-grandchildren, Abel Green, Micael Prince Green, Yosan Green, Yohanna Yemane, Jonovan Stafford, Jr., Gianna Stafford, Tameka McDaniel, Joshua Thomas III, Gregory Davis III, and Jeremiah Davis; goddaughter, Courtnay Pilcher; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The remains will repose on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.  MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
