Mr. Ranfred “Ran” Russell of Lake Panasoffkee, FL, passed away December 28, 2020. A Graveside funeral service will be conducted at Panasoffkee Cemetery, 819 CR 529, Lake Panasoffkee, FL on January 16, 2021 at 1p.m. with Elder Johnny Warthen Officiating.
Mr.Ranfred was a native of Florida and a resident of Lake Panasoffkee for 89 years. He was born May 15, 1931 one of seven children to the union of Samuel Russell and Susie Barker Russell. Ranfred will be remembered as a loving grandfather, uncle and cousin. He was a member of St. John Primitive Baptist Church, he worked at the Sawmill as an operator until its closing. Ran loved to ride his bicycle and visit friends and neighbors, always had a beautiful smile when you see him, with his smiling face and soft touch he made many friends along the way. He loved life and God.
Ranfred was preceded in death by: his parents, Samuel & Susie Russell; son, Russell R. Hadley; 4 sisters, Bernice R. Taylor, Hazel R. Dupree, Inetha R. Moore and Jettye R. Foster; 2 brothers, William Russell and James W. Russell. He leaves to cherish his memory: his grandson, Tancrick R. Hadley; great grandson, Tancrick R Hadley Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he loved and cherished.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ranfred’s name to the United Church of God in Christ, Hillcrest Cemetery Association and Panasoffkee Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Ray Williams Funeral Home, Rhodes & Northern, Owners.
