Mr. Reginald Dwayne West, Sr. of Tampa was called from his earthly labor to eternal rest on Monday, January 11, 2021. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 23 at 4:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Elder Curtis Green, officiating. Please follow the CDC Guidelines. Masks are required.
Mr. Reginald Dwayne West, Sr. affectionately known as “Reggie” was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida, born to Charles and Barbara West. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Plant High School, Class of 1977. Mr. West served for three years in the United States Army and was a former Cook/Chef for Bern’s Steakhouse. He was a member of Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church.
Reginald was preceded in death by: his loving father, Charles West; grandparents, Jessie West, and Edward and Lula Floyd; and aunt, Daisy Stubbs.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving devoted mother, Barbara West; 7 children, Shanita West, Reginald Dwayne West, Jr., Marissa West, Demetrius West, Victoria Fletcher (Romain), Lakeisha West and Tirea Hannah; 16 grandchildren, Lendrial Harris, Samuel Staten IV, Reginald West III, Radrea West, Demetrius West, Jr., Raekwon Lyles, Jesse Stephens III, Clayton Lee Jr., Ro’Kobe Fletcher, Clayon Lee, Aniya Maxwell, Ro’nisha Fletcher, Emmanuel Mills, Ro’miyah Fletcher, Ro’Melo Fletcher and Michael Brown; 7 great grandchildren, Reginald West IV, Legend and Lendrick Harris, Lonnie West, Jordan Morrell Jr., Lyr’ric Morrell and A’million McMillian; sister, Vanessa Vickers; brother, Charles West Jr.; 3 nephews, Aaron Bryant, Carlos Mendoza (Lachone), and Marcus Allen (Tocarra); two very special cousins, Dara Stubbs and Thomas Stubbs Jr. of Atlanta, GA and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be held from 3 – 7 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
