Reverend Cornelius Latrell Murvin

Reverend Cornelius Latrell “Trell” Murvin of Tampa, FL, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th Street, Tampa, FL 33610, with Elder Clinton Murvin, Jr., Officiating.

Reverend Murvin was a native of Winter Haven, FL, and a resident of Tampa for over 54 years. He attended Tampa Bay Technical High School and was the Senior Pastor of Pilgrim’s Rest Missionary Baptist Church from 2018 until his passing.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his wife, Annie Murvin; his sons, D’Andrae (Sarah) Murvin, and Jamal (Shonnyce) Murvin; step-son, Toby (Latisa) Frazier; step-father, Elder Charles Langston; his siblings, Elder Clinton (Jackie) Murvin, Jr., Hakim Rasheed, Constance Stewart, Kevin Murvin, and Shaniqua (Bobby) Jordan; grandchildren, Christian Murvin, Jalia Murvin, Jayda Murvin, Deiah Murvin, Toby Frazier Jr. and Jamal Frazier; in-laws, Janie Clark, Aaron (Sandra) Darsaw, Tyrone (Kim) Clark, Annette Evans, and Charles (Rita) Woodson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 4202 W. Nassau Street, Tampa, FL 33607.
