Richard Hilaire was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, and friend. Richard was born on September 2, 1993, in Miami, Florida, and brought joy and love to everyone surrounding him. He was the cherished son of Assonia Joseph (Ronel) and Wilky Hilaire and a treasured sibling among his six brothers and sisters: Wilky Darius (Tamesha), Wilshim, Micky Jason, Wilkenson Asami, Keisha, and Ashton. Richard's family was his foundation, and he held each of them dear to his heart.
Throughout his life, Richard was surrounded by love from his Grandparents Loria Rejouis, Larochene Charles, Elcia Amilca and Vilsius Hilario. Godparents, Lucienne Rejouis and Benjamin Leriche, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored him. He was proud to be an uncle to his niece, Auriah Hilaire, and he embraced every moment spent with his family.
Richard's educational journey took him from Santa Clara Elementary School to Riverview High School, where he graduated in 2014. During those years, his profound love for basketball grew. He pursued his passion for helping others by obtaining a Phlebotomy certification from Ultimate Medical Academy in 2019. His work as a Phlebotomist at CL Plasma and a Counselor at YMCA Child Service showcased his dedication to serving the community.
Beyond his professional life, Richard was a vibrant soul. He was passionate about drawing, basketball, and fashion, always dressing in his Sunday best. Music and video games were his escape, and he found joy in every moment spent with family and friends. Most importantly, Richard loved God and lived with faith and purpose.
As we remember Richard, let us celebrate his spirit, his laughter, and the love he shared with all of us. Though he may no longer be with us physically, his memory will forever live in our hearts. Richard Hilaire, you will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
