Mr. Robert Henry Thomas of Tampa passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Reverend Joe Johnson, officiating. Interment will be held Monday, October 5, at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241. Please follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
Mr. Robert Henry Thomas was a native of Tampa, Florida and was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County, last attending Howard W. Blake High School. He was a United States Army Veteran and after his Honorable discharge he began a career in Carpentry/Welding. Mr. Thomas was a member of Trinity CME Church.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Edward Singleton and Levater Spann.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Timothy Thomas; siblings, Willie C. Williams (Ivena) of Ruskin, FL, Bettique Ishmail (Mohammad) of Brooklyn, NY, Pearline Williams (Robert) of Stockton, CA, and Cynthia Fleurant (Ostant) of Tampa, FL; cousin, Sam Singleton; nephews and nieces, Eddie Mungin, Antoine McCloud, and Ikim Fleming, all of Tampa, FL, Randolph Holton, Sherif Ahamed, John Calhoun, Ferteria Hall, Toylanda Smith, and Pam Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
The visitation will be held from 3 -7 p.m., Friday, October 2, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
