Roberta Williams Obituary

Sister Roberta Williams of Tampa passed away Monday, February 8, 2021.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Reverend Dr. Brett Snowden, Pastor, officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.  Please follow the CDC Guidelines. Masks are required. 

Sister Roberta Williams was a native of Harrison, Georgia and a resident of Tampa for 66 years.  She was educated in the public schools of Washington County, Georgia. 

Sister Williams was a member of Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she served with the Mass Choir, Senior Citizen’s Ministry, Sunday School, G. T. Martin Missionary Ministry, and the Food Ministry.  She retired from Singleton Seafood Company as a Packer. 

Roberta was preceded in death by: her parents, Lenzy Williams and Cora Lee Williams; son, David Barlow; grandson, Byron Weaver; five siblings and 5 nieces. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving children, James T. Williams (Mattie), Patricia Williams, Carrie Jackson, Effie Weaver (Stanley) and Cynthia Barlow; grandchildren, James Williams Jr. (Melissa), Latonia Wilcox (Derrick), Relisa Taylor of Augusta, GA, Stanley Weaver Jr., of Atlanta, GA, Peaches Christopher, Devita Johnson (Wayne), Joe Nathan Williams Jr. (Jyneatrice), Quinnette Williams, Michael Williams, Alexis Williams, Gwendolyn Jackson and Kayneeia Weaver; a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends, Greater Bethel M. B. Church Family & Senior Citizen Ministry; and very devoted friends, Albertha Nelson, Mozelle Rhodes, Barbara Mitchell, Dorothy Williams, Ruth Person, Harriet Scott, Patricia Brown and Helen Bullock. 

The remains will repose from 3 – 7 p.m. on Friday, February 19, at Ray Williams Funeral Home.  We are asking family and friends to please follow the CDC Guidelines.  Masks are required.
