Rodney Everett Obituary

Mr. Rodney Jershawn Everett of Seffner, FL passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 19 at 2 p.m. at Tampa Life Church, 10930 US Hwy 301 North, Thonotosassa, FL, Senior Pastor Robert Tisdale with Pastor Jesse H. Smalley II, officiating.  Interment will follow in Mayberry Cemetery.   Please follow the CDC guidelines.  Masks are required. 

Mr. Rodney Jershawn Everett affectionately known as “Hot Rod” or “Big Country” was a native of Tampa, Florida. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Armwood High School, Class of 2001.  He furthered his education at Northwood University, Midland, MI where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and he also attended Florida A & M University. 

Mr. Everett was employed by Pepin Distributing Company for 9 years. 

He was preceded in death by: grandparents, Mercy Lee Jackson Spann and Grady Earl Spann (Jimmy), and Frank Everett Sr.; great grandparents, Carrie Bell Culver Spann and George W. Spann, Leroy Jackson and Mable Alexander Jackson; uncles, Marvet “Boe” Spann, Carl E. Spann, and Clayton Everett; aunts, Mary W. Spann Campbell, Mary Spann, Mary Brown, Cora Clayton, Armelia Herndon and Roseatta Gipson; cousins, Charles Larry, Sr, Alphonso Jackson, Dorothy McClendon, Leroy Armwood, Charles Gipson, Jeremiah Harrison, Evonne Hayward, and Steve Spann. 

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted family who will cherish his legacy: his loving companion and mother of his children, Natasha Sepulveda; children, Raquel, Raliyah and Rodney J. Everett Jr.; stepchildren, Jady and Christian Muniz; Godchildren, Demoyne Stoney Jr. “Truck”, JaVarie Bolton, and Lela Marie Bolton,  mother, Cynthia Spann-Booth (Robbie); father, Frank Everett (Consuela); grandmother, Annie C. The remains will repose from 3-7 p.m., Friday, September 18, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
