Mr. Ronald Keith Anderson “Lil Hat” of Tampa passed away Monday, July 20, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 1 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope @ The Cornerstone, 315 N. Collins Street, Plant City, FL 33563 with Pastor Swiney, officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery. Please follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
Mr. Ronald Anderson was a native of Chicago, IL and a resident of Tampa for 65 years. He was born September 15, 1952 to Nathaniel Bostick and Mollie Ruth Joyner. He was a graduate of Howard W. Blake High School, Class of 1970 and was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Mr. Anderson retired from Van Airlines as a Truck Driver.
He was preceded in death by: son, Ronald Kent Anderson; his parents, Nathaniel Bostick and Mollie Ruth Joyner; grandparents, John and Ruth Anderson; aunt, Leola Jones, Bernice Scott and Grace Mullins and nephew, Gregory Anderson, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory: devoted soulmate and loving companion of 25 years, Lavern Hooper; daughters, Barbara Brown (Gino), Tameka Anderson (Howard) and stepdaughter, Ebony Davis; sons, Carlos Anderson (Teia), and Reshard Anderson (Valorie); grandchildren, Kevrick Brown, Darealle Crawford, Carlos Anderson Jr., Kiosha Crawford, Michel’lae Williams, Dereck Mann Jr., Ceonna Anderson, Ta’Mia Rodgers, Curtis Rodgers Jr., Ja’Yani Bivens, Jeffrey Bush, Edgar Robinson, Reshard Anderson Jr. and Reshard Anderson; great grandchildren, Kae’Lynn Mann, Jayden Crawford, and Kevrick Brown Jr.; brother, Gregory Anderson; nieces, Felicia Bryant, Vauandria Anderson, and Vaugh Anderson; great nieces, Abrieana Hill, Danielle Hill, and Ameyah Bryant; cousins, Elaine Jones, Jewel Davis, John Eddie Reid, Linda Flent, Renee Leon, Donce Leon, Ruby Rhymes, Brenda Redmond, Karen Scott and Najah Hatim-Johnson (Bernard); mothers of his children, Janice Anderson, Joyce Williams and Rudene Gadsden; devoted friends, Michael Nelson, Marvin Person, Earl Lewis and the entire Wilson family; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held Friday, July 31 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
