Ms. Rose Marilyn Williams, of Tampa, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 17, at 11:00 am at Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 2606 W. Grace Street, with Pastor T. D. Leonard, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Please follow the CDC Guidelines. Masks are required.
Ms. Rose Marilyn Williams, affectionately known as “Mama Rose”, was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida and was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County. Ms. Williams was a member of Mt. Tabor M. B. Church and was the proud owner and Catering Chef of Mama Rose Kitchen.
She was preceded in death by: parents, Leroy & Ruby Williams; brother, Dockey; sisters, Willie, Patricia and Barbara; God sister, Viola; great granddaughter, Je’hyrah; aunt, Lessie; and uncles, Willie and Woodrow.
She leaves to cherish her memory: longtime companion, James Tate; children, Latarchia (John), Leonardo, and Lagee; grandchildren, Sequia, Rashard (Shenkia), Javareia, Shakayla, Javonna, Jolicia, Bria, Maurica, Khalil, and Laylarose; 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Carrie and Shirley; brother, Nathaniel (Brenda); God sister, Ruby; nieces, Katrina, Tameka (Darian), Veronica, Felita, Paralee, Lakesia, Marketta, and Harryan; nephews, Dontae, Richard, Carl, Lil John (Linda), Joel, and Lonnie; and a great host of cousins, extended family members and friends of the community.
The viewing will be held Friday, April 16, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL. 33606. We are asking family and friends to please follow the CDC Guidelines. Masks are required.
