Sabrina Polite

Ms. Sabrina Faye Polite of Tampa passed away Saturday October 24, 2020.  A Graveside service will be conducted Saturday, October 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue with Pastor Clethen Sutton, officiating.  Interment will follow. 

Sabrina was a native of Florida and resident of Tampa for 59 years. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County, graduating from Tampa Bay Technical High School, Class of 1978. Sabrina retired from the Department of Children and Family Services. 

Sabrina loved her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Sabrina loved life and especially children. She enjoyed family gatherings, spending time with her sons, grandkids, mother and siblings. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, shopping, camping and she was a gift giver. 

She was preceded in death by: her grandfather, Roscoe Clethen; father, Earl Leo Monroe Jr.; nephews, Jarmon Jeffery Jordan, and Roniell Rashad Slaton.   

Ms. Sabrina Faye Polite leaves to celebrate her life of love and compassion for others: her mother, Madelyn L. Clethen; aunts, Eunice Whitted and Barbara Monroe; sons, George Randell Polite Jr., Javarus Denard Polite, Andre Demetrius Brown and Glen Brown Jr. (Tasha); granddaughters, Ajai Polite, Pamela Polite, Alexandria Polite, Jada Polite, Jordan Polite, Yesenia Polite, An’Driya Brown, Corrien Jackson, Jennessa Hadley, Ja’Ceyana Brown, Cali Cooper, Janaya Brown, and Janiya Brown; grandsons, Elijah Polite, Jaquez Polite, Ja’Von Polite, Armani Polite, Eric Brown, and Jayden Brown; great-granddaughter, Zuri Polite; sisters, Valarie McGill (Otis), Paulette Walker, and Antionette Stokes (Marchant); brothers, Michael Clethen (Tremeka), Kevin Clethen (Velva), Gerald Hayes, Earl Leo Monroe III, Miguel Monroe, Cedric Monroe, and Demetrius Monroe; like-a-sister, Vivian Oliver, Clovis Alford, Delores Hardy, and Cecelia Thompson; lifelong friends, Glen Brown, Tori Polite, Jennifer Hadley, Regina Miller, Carolyn Hickmon Brooks, Sharon Cromartie, Valerie Brown, and  a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other friends. 

The visitation will be held, Friday, October 30, from 3 – 7 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Ave, Tampa, FL 33607.  We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
