Sister Cynthia “La Nell” Coleman of Tampa, FL a devoted mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of Jehovah, has fallen asleep in death on Thursday, March 27, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and unwavering devotion. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610 with Pastor Prentiss Davis, Officiating/Eulogist.
Cynthia “La Nell” Coleman was born in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Juanita Dorset and George Mathews. She was known for her compassionate spirit, warm heart, and steadfast commitment to her family and to Jehovah’s organization.
She was a loving mother of three children, Joris Cross, Candice Burney, and Adrianna Davis and a grandmother to Tremayne Burney, Isabella Davis, Penelope Davis, and Gemma Davis whose life was centered around caring for and nurturing her children and grandchildren. Her love for her family was deep, constant, and unconditional, and she found great joy in watching them grow and thrive.
Above all, Sister Cynthia “La Nell” Coleman was known for her deep faith and wholehearted devotion to Jehovah. For over 25 years, she served faithfully as a pioneer, tirelessly sharing Bible truths and helping others come to know and love Jehovah as she did. Her life was a living testimony to the hope she held dear—the resurrection promise—and she remained spiritually strong until the very end, keeping her mind and heart fixed on the blessings to come.
She was preceded in death by: her two brothers, Dale Mathews and Glenn Mathews.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her three children, Joris Cross, Candice Burney, and Adrianna Davis; four grandchildren, Tremayne Burney, Isabella Davis, Penelope Davis, and Gemma Davis; two beloved brothers, Lorenzo Mathews, and Dewight Mathews; two stepsisters, Niki Mathews and Timiki Mathews; and two stepbrothers, Corey Mathews and Michael Mathews.
Her family and spiritual brothers and sisters will deeply miss her kindness, her encouraging words, and her unshakeable faith.
