Sophia Mills

Miss Sophia Angela Mills departed this life Sunday evening, May 9, 2021.  Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue.  Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery.

She was born January 23, 1971 in Clarendon, Jamaica to Mrs. Gwendolyn Stone and the late Edmond Mills.

At the age of 47 Miss Sophia moved to West Palm Beach, Florida and soon after relocated to Wimauma, Florida until her final days.

During her childhood she grew up in Clarendon, Jamaica where she found the love of netball while attending Maypen Secondary School.  She was loving, caring, and very hard working. Miss Sophia was described by many as jovial and headstrong. She will be missed but not forgotten. Her legacy will live on in each of us.

Miss Sophia was preceded in death by her father, Edmond Mills.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Gwendolyn Stone (Alfredo) of Clarendon, Florida; three sons, Fenton Sinclair (Collin), Damork Sinclair (Samantha) of Wimauma, Florida and Ockeve Sinclair of Pembroke Pines, Florida; one lovely daughter, Ciara Campbell of Clarendon, Florida; grandson, Ockeve Sinclair (sister, Samara); three brothers, Ricardo Stone (Simone), Garreth Stone of Clarendon, Jamaica and Domingo Blake of Old Harbour, Jamaica; four sisters, Collyne Francis, Stacy’ann Brooks (Paul) of OchosRios, Jamaica, Monique Fagon (Michael) of Clarendon, Jamaica and Rushane Powell (Kirk) of Mandeville, Jamaica and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
