Stephanie Sheppard Snead

Sister Stephanie Yvonne Sheppard Snead passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022, 10:30 a.m. at College Hill Church of God in Christ, 6414 N. 30th St., Tampa, FL 33610, Superintendent Charles Davis, Officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513. MASK RECOMMENDED.

Sister Snead was born February 6, 1962, in Tampa, Florida to Deacon Leroy Sheppard, Sr., and Mother Dorothy L. Sheppard. She was educated in the Public Schools of Hillsborough County and graduated from King High School, Class of 1980. She enlisted into the United States Army in 1981 and served this country until 1992.

She has been a member of College Hill Church of God in Christ since 1962. She was active in the Sanctuary Choir and Nurses Unit. She worked within the Health Care System for over 17 years.

She was preceded in death by: her son, Matthew Young II; mother, Dorothy L. Sheppard; father, Deacon Leroy Sheppard; and sister, Sharon Sheppard Gardener.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Bernard Snead of Plant City, FL; 2 daughters, Stephanie McAllister (Kenneth Jr.) of Thonotosassa, FL and Camille Young of Plant City, FL; step-sons, Aaron Snead of Plant City, FL, Roscoe Snead of Plant City, Fl and Eric Redfield Snead (Kenyetta) of Plant City, FL;  2 brothers, Leroy Jr. of Lakeland, FL and Michael (Coral) of Thonotosassa, FL; 2 sisters, Carolyn Nicholson (Hilton) of Shreveport, LA, and Sylvia Goodwin of San Antonio, TX; 6 grandchildren, Aaliyah, Anthony, Kelis, Brianna, Kenneth III and Nasir; devoted best-friends, LaShawn Chisholm and Terry Doe; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.  

The visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.  MASK RECOMMENDED.
