Sister Sylvia Keighler Williams of Tampa passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Graveside service will be conducted Saturday, November 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea Street, with Pastor Brett Snowden, officiating. Interment will follow. Please follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
Sylvia Keighler Williams was born to Lula Keighler and Bob Maynard. She was educated in the schools of Montezuma and Dooley County, Georgia.
She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was joined in matrimony in 1944 to Mr. Jimmie Williams, which eleven children were conceived. She has been a loyal member of Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church since 1995.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Jimmie; her son, Jimmie Williams of Dallas, TX and daughter, Mary Williams.
The quiet faith and beauty of her life served as an inspiration to all who were privileged to know her. She leaves to cherish her memory: sons, Major Williams (Cassandra), Lawrence Williams (Gloria), Zachary Williams (Gayle) of Dover, DE, Daron Williams (Nikki), Algerian Williams (Tanya) and Christopher Williams; daughters, Vivian Ravenel (Benjamin), Veronica Parker (Phillip), and Treva Edwards; grandchildren, Angela Gallmon, Craig Lewis (Amiee), LaVonda Humphrey, Bryan Williams (Arlene) of Dallas, TX, Sylvia Williams, Major Williams, Jr., Samantha Williams, Veronica Williams, Annie Williams, Novis Williams, Hosea Allgood, Yolanda Harris, Kristina Ravenel, Valerie Ravenel, Jason Ravenel (Ericka), Tallahassee, FL, Arika Sherman, Alison Whitehead, Arielle Edwards, Chenani Edwards, Beniesha Edwards, Benaiah Edwards, Dorcas Edwards, Elizabeth Edwards, Ziah Williams, Trevor Williams, John-Paul Williams, Jon Williams, Daron Williams, Jr., Jaylon Williams, Angelica Williams, Christopher Williams, Jr., JaChrissia Williams, Kazaria Williams, Zawni Williams and a host of great-grands, other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be held Friday, November 13, from 3 – 7 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
