Terrel Jason Ferrell of Tampa, FL, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at 34th Street Church of God, 3000 N. 34th Street, Tampa, FL 33605, Pastor Thomas Scott, Senior Pastor. The interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
On December 24, 2000, Shenita Holton and Marvin Ferrell Jr. welcomed their Christmas miracle, Terrel Jason Ferrell. Terrel grew up surrounded by the love of his family, friends, teachers, coaches, and his entire village. He attended local schools, including Bible Base Village of Excellence, Winthrop Academy, and Bloomingdale High School. Terrel loved fishing, playing video games, and playing sports. He played baseball, basketball, flag football, football, and ran track.
Terrel was a star-wide receiver at Bloomingdale High School, which led to him receiving a football scholarship to the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio. He played for two years at Toledo and pursued a degree in Business Administration. Terrel came home during the pandemic and started working various jobs, most recently being a fence installer, and was in the process of starting his own fence installation company.
He is preceded in death by: his brother, Kobe Ferrell; and paternal grandparents, Pauline Gunn Ferrell Bulger and Marvin Ferrell Sr.
He leaves behind: his loving parents, Shenita Holton Blount (Ronald) and Marvin Ferrell Jr.; brother, Dorian Ferrell; stepbrothers, Ronald Blount III and Brayden Blount; stepsister, Jhaze Blount; maternal grandparents, Albert and Dixie Holton; uncles, Larry Gunn (Deborah) and David Gunn (Joyce); aunts, Alicia Holton, April Green (Myron), Lewanda Hunter (Darin), Jennifer Maddox, and Taraina Holton; nephew, Dash Ferrell; niece, Naveah Ferrell; special first cousins, Andre and Zaria Hunter, Cameron and Nyla Stewart, Jenaie and Jaleah Ferrell, and Jessica Suggs; Godparents, Mary Gant, Tony and Rose Salter, and Darren and Theresa Wilson; and a host of sorrowing relatives from the Blount, Ferrell, Ford, Green, Gunn, Holton, Johnson and Stewart families.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Ave., Tampa, FL 33606 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
