Mr. Tommy L. Ward of Tampa found eternal rest with the Lord as he slept away peacefully to end his journey here Friday, February 19, 2021. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, February 27 at 4:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Reverend Robert Glass, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Please follow the CDC Guidelines. Masks are required.

Mr. Tommy L. Ward was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida born to the late Willie Lee Ward Sr. and Rosa Lee Banks Ward. He was educated by the public schools of Hillsborough County, Tampa, Florida and he graduated from Lavoy Exceptional School, June 1983.
Tommy accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He loved the Church and serving on Usher Board No# 4 and attending Sunday School at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church until the declination of his health. Tommy loved the word of God, he loved reading and discussing the bible scriptures.
He also had a passion for landscaping, gardening, collecting of aluminum cans, Tommy truly loved the outdoors. We will cherish all the fond memories of his great hugs and his joy of dancing.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Willie Lee Ward Sr; mother, Rosa Lee Banks Ward; brothers, Rev. Willie Lee Ward Jr., Marzell Ward, Howard Lee Ward, Waymond Ward, Johnny Will Ward and sister, Mary Alice Ward.
He leaves to cherish wonderful memories that will live forever within the hearts of his family and friends: sisters, Linda G. Ward Hicks, Cheryl D. Ward of Tampa, FL, and Willie Nell Tubbs of Louisiana; brother, Isaac Ward of Tampa, FL.; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws, extended family and friends. The remains will repose from 3 – 7 p.m. Friday, February 26 at Ray Williams Funeral Home. We are asking family and friends to please follow the CDC Guidelines. Masks are required.
