Ms. Vallery Laverne Jafar of Tampa passed away Friday, October 9, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 17 at 2 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa FL 33606. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Please follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
Ms. Vallery Jafar was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Robinson High School. Ms. Vallery possessed a degree in nursing and retired as a bus driver from the School District of Hillsborough County.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two loving and devoted daughters, Toccorah Scott-Lewis and husband Maurice Lewis and Tiarrah Neal; brother, Craig Gadsden and wife Rosemary Gadsden; sisters, Rudene Gadsden and Keril Gordon and husband Darryl Gordon; granddaughters, Imani Nobles, Emari Lewis and Promise Barker, grandsons, Chase Mention and Chance Mention; nephews, Robbin Tramel, the late Darryl Gordon II, Reshard Anderson and Keron Gordon; nieces, Dr. Karmen Gadsden and Kimberly Gadsden and a host of cousins, other sorrowing relatives and friends.
The remains will repose from 3-7 p.m. Friday, October 16, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
