Mr. Willie W. Grant, of Tampa passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020. A Graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, November 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue with Superintendent Charles Davis, Pastor of College Hill Church of God in Christ, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow. Please follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
Mr. Willie W. Grant affectionately known as “Snapper” was a native of Warrenton, Georgia and a lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a faithful member of College Hill COGIC for many years. Mr. Grant was an entrepreneur and retired as the proud owner and operator of his Carpet and Tile business. Mr. Grant will be truly missed by his family and friends. He was a devoted husband and father.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Joseph and Annie Grant; sister, Dorothy Grant and brother, Willie E. Grant.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted and loving wife, Carolyn Grant; sister, Hazel Rynes; four children, Arthur Killins (Twanna), Kevin Allen (Shermane), James Williams, Jr. and Esther Baxter (Rick); grandchildren, Antwaun Killins, Alicia Killins, Rashawnda Allen, Alexiseya Killins, Asia Hutchings (Kevin), Karniya L. Allen, Kevin Allen III, Demetrius Page and Duncan Baxter; nieces and nephews, Constance (Tey), Michael Grant (Alma) and many more; a host of cousins, other relatives, devoted friends, and his church family. Special thanks to College Hill COGIC church family, College Hill COGIC Preschool, Bayada Home Health Care, Carleen Grant-Health Aide, and Dr. Kimberly Gray-White, MD, P.A and Staff.
The visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. Monday, November 23 at Ray Williams Funeral Home. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
